I’ve had this setup for a while and I absolutely love the coffee I’m able to make with it.
The Gaggia Classic E24 and DF64 Gen 2 are such a good combo. It does exactly what I need it to do consistently with no fuss.
I know it isn’t the most elaborate setup ever, but I actually like how simple it is, just three buttons without any crazy levers or touch screens to over complicate things. It’s also nice and compact which makes things easier if I ever need to move it around.
If anyone has suggestions on what to add, feel free to comment!

Looks great and dig the latte art
Honestly the only thing you need is a mod for temp stabilization for the gaggia. PID mods run ~$100, or you can go full Gagguino. I ran my Classic Pro with a PID for over 2 years and would still be using it today if I didn’t come up on a used Lelit Mara X for $800.
A Gaggia without mods!
How do you like it… Do you do the temp surfing or any “hacks” like that? Mine just arrived today, your timing to post this is impeccable lol.
Your cappuccino looks great!
Points subtracted for possession of the vanilla syrup in the background
How big is your knock box?
Small thing, but: love the color of the cups (and nice artwork there besides!). 🙂 👍🏽
I have the same set up and love it. I doubt I’ll mod my Gaggia but I guess you never know.
What is your milk steaming workflow? That’s the only thing I’m struggling with and yours looks fantastic.
Is that a 64?
Upgrade the gaggia with giaggiuino 😅😂
That’s a beautiful cup of joe 💚
Lovely bit of honesty on your set up. I’m content with my df54 and bamvino, but I’m always keeping an eye out to upgrade.
Honestly, I’m a pretty basic person. I’m rocking a Bambino with a DF54 on the way. I’d ideally grab a GCP and do the PID and steam wand mods and call it a day. I’m super content with my Bambino which means there’s plenty of time to wait and find one and make it a project in the background.

I’d love to get my own grinder
What’s your df grind value set at?
How long does the coffee machine need to heat up before use? And how long is a single dose grind take with the df64?
